Sports and leisure volunteer – Outreach3Way

Outreach3Way is a Sussex-based learning disabilities charity which supports people with learning disabilities in all areas of daily life.

As a sports and leisure volunteer your contribution will be to help the team leader to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the sports or leisure activities that the group is undertaking.

This could include: meeting and greeting group participants; assisting participants in the various activities and occasionally assisting in promotional/publicity work.

There are various sessions currently available during the morning and afternoon, and locations are throughout West Sussex (the role will be located near to where you live).

You can volunteer for just one session a week or more if you have the time.

Garden maintenance volunteer – St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School

Volunteers are required by St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School to help maintain the garden area at the school.

Tasks will include general weeding and strimming and some planting and watering.

You will need basic garden skills/knowledge and the ability to perform light to medium outdoor tasks.

You must be over-18 to apply for this role.

Social fundraiser (Littlehampton) – Guide Dogs

The Guide Dogs charity provides guide dogs and rehabilitation services for blind and partially-sighted people to enable them to make the best use of their mobility.

This role can be as exciting as you want to make it.

Primarily you will be assisting the local fundraising team in promoting and taking part in a variety of activities to raise money for Guide Dogs.

If you are particularly enthusiastic and want to organise your own standalone or challenge events to raise money, they are happy to help support this.

Tasks might include: street collections on ‘flag’ days (holding a money bucket and talking to the public), helping on information and merchandise stalls at local events (such as fetes) and taking collection boxes or envelopes to local businesses.

Shop assistant (Rustington and Littlehampton) – Link to Hope

Link to Hope is a Christian charity based in Worthing, established since 1991, who rebuild lives and communities in Eastern Europe through social care and education projects.

They are looking for volunteers to work as part of a warm welcoming team in their shops in Rustington and Littlehampton.

There are a number of roles within the shop, so whether you have budding creative skills for displaying and making up outfits, or have a passion for books, music or china, preparing and merchandising all types of stock as well as serving and talking to customers.

It all goes towards their overall goal of raising funds.

They would love you to come and join the team and give them a hand.
