The glittering Davison High School for Girls end-of-year prom was held at the Hilston Avisford Park Hotel, Arundel, where the girls danced the night away in style.

As well as being a farewell, it was a chance for them to celebrate their successes throughout their time at the school, which is attended by students from across the area.

The event was co-ordinated by Lindsey Chilvers, who said it had been a perfect evening.

“They are a lovely bunch of girls – a very nice year group. They all worked really hard,” she added.

“It was a really good evening and such a lovely venue – it was perfect.”

The girls arrived for the event in a weird and wonderful range of vehicles, including limousines, Volkswagen Campervans, a Bentley, an ambulance and even a Texas Highway Patrol car.

They brought out their posh frocks and high heels for an evening of food, friends and dancing, which was described as ‘fabulous’ by teacher Harriet Goss.

She added: “The year group are awaiting final exam results, but before that had a night to celebrate their time at Davison High School.

Claire Heron, the school’s key-stage-three curriculum development leader, said: “It was wonderful to see the year-11 students all dressed so beautifully to celebrate their achievements.

“It is always a really special event for the parents and teachers to see the girls arrive in anything from limos to camper vans.

“Avisford Park was the perfect setting for these young ladies.”
