The Just Cause, written and directed by Ann Feloy, saw a cast of 200 tell the tale of the Salvation Army’s first foray into Worthing and the uproar it caused among the town’s residents.

The play, held in Christ Church, Grafton Road, Worthing, was funded by a £50,000 Heritage Lottery Fund grant and took two years to come to fruition.

Mrs Feloy said: “It was a huge success. It was absolutely amazing.”
