Police release CCTV of knifepoint robbery in Angmering

Sussex Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with following a knifepoint robbery in Angmering on Friday, August 7.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called at around 10.45pm to a report that a 25-year-old man had been robbed as he walked towards the railway station from an address in Rustington.

“The victim then saw two men who were walking a dog in Station Road.

“They offered to accompany him back to Rustington and on the way they spotted the suspect and recovered some of the victim’s property.”

The suspect is described as white, 6’ and wearing a black hooded coat. He was also seen carrying an orange coloured drawstring bag on his shoulder.

Detective Constable Lindsey Van Buiten added: “We are also still trying to trace the two men who helped the victim. We believe they will hold vital evidence for this case and I urge them to make contact with us.”
