A LIST of the candidates vying for seats in the forthcoming Worthing Borough Council elections next month has been published.
The local elections will see seven serving councillors seek re-election across the town’s 13 wards.
Each ward has one seat up for grabs, apart from Offington, which is offering two this year.
Currently, the council consists of 25 Conservatives, 11 Liberal Democrats and one independent councillor.
Last year’s election saw no dramatic change to the make-up of the council, although the Lib-Dems will this year be looking to win back the Castle Ward seat they lost to the Conservatives in 2011, and likewise the Conservatives will want to regain Broadwater from the Lib-Dems.
The deadline for registering to vote is Wednesday at 5pm.
Voting will take place on Thursday, May 3, between 7am and 10pm.
