A Worthing candidate for the role of Sussex police and crime commissioner was refused feedback after his application was rejected at the “paper sift” stage.
Steven Waight, Worthing Borough Councillor for Goring ward, said the police area organising committee, which makes decisions on candidates, refused to give him feedback after they threw out his CV.
Mr Waight has recently been re-elected, unanimously, as chairman for the Sussex police authority, and said this news came as a surprise.
The six remaining candidates are Katy Bourne, Paul Dendle, Peter Jones, Colin Field, Anthony Kimber, George Lee.
