Post Office to get ‘vibrant’ refit

Tarring Post Office is set to be modernised as part of a ‘major investment programme’.

The refitted Post Office at Tarring Crossing in South Street will open March 21.

Two modern counters which will be open Monday to Saturday between 9am and 5.30pm, an extra five hours a week, including Saturday afternoons.

A wider selection of on-demand travel money will be added to the wide range of Post Office services available.

The shop will be closed for a refit on Thursday, March 2 at 5.30pm.

Sue Whittall, Post Office area manager, said: “We know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new-style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.

“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future,” she added.
