Dance students were praised for their 100 per cent success rate in their yearly examinations.
Students of the Le Serve School of Ballet and Theatre Dance took part in the ceremony at Lancing Parish Hall on September 29.
The exams took place between June and July at the school’s studio on Tarring Road, Worthing.
They were taken in a variety of dance classifications, including ballet, tap and contemporary dance.
The prize-giving saw students ranging from “tinies” to adults picking up their awards, with the majority gaining a distinction.
Some of the students also treated the audience to a dance performance to open the ceremony.
Principal, Valerie Le Serve, said: “Congratulations were given to Lois Capel for passing the audition for Saturday classes at the Centre of Advanced Training and to Francesca Hayward, who is to dance the part of Clara in the Nutcracker with the Royal Ballet over christmas.”
A raffle was also held, donating funds for the Rainbow Trust, a children’s charity which supports children with terminal and life-threatening illnesses.
The school will also be raising funds for the trust at a charity ball on Saturday, November 24, at the Charmandean Centre.
It coincides with the 25th anniversary of the school being at Tarring Road.
The major award winners were: Billie Aslett, Lois Capel, Abbie Fyfe, Bethen House, Elliot Kingshott, Annabel Pilcher, Harriet Pilcher, Harriet Pilcher, Abigail Powell, Millie Tyler, Phoebe Tyler, Phoebe Whitelam and Natasha Willmott.
