OVER 3,000 women descended onto the seafront in Worthing on Sunday morning to take part in this year’s race for life.
In 23 degree heat, the ladies, sporting pink tops and trainers, gathered at Steyne Gardens to prepare for the event.
A vigorous warm up session led by Heart FM had the runners limbering up en masse before they set off in three categories, walkers, joggers and runners.
At just after 11am the starter’s horn blew and they were off, amid cheers from the hundreds of supporters who lined the route.
