AN event in support of a baby charity raised £1,500.
Twenty-five women, many of which were with babies and toddlers, and two men, took to Worthing seafront as part of Buggyfit Worthing and Littlehampton’s charity baby race.
The group power-walked five kilometres along the promenade to raise money for Tommy’s, before they sat down for a picnic.
Boggyfit instructor Sarah Prothero organised the event.
She said: “I was keen to raise funds for a baby related charity since most of my work through Buggyfit and my mobile personal training business for women is with new mums.
“I also have seen far too many friends go through the heartache of miscarriage and early births, and wanted to do something to help.”
Tommy’s researches into pregnancy problems and provides information to parents.
Estate agent Robert Luff sponsored the event.
