A REMEMBRANCE Day-themed window display in Goring has been praised by residents.

The window display at the Co-operative funeral parlour in Goring Road has been receiving compliments from passers-by on a daily basis.

Staff member Valerie Bennett said: “We have people drop by and say how lovely it is to have a Remembrance Day window, because they have relatives in the forces or have been in the forces themselves.

“It is all down to our new staff member Andy, who has been doing fantastic window displays – but this one has been really appreciated by the public.”

The Co-operative funeral parlour has recently undergone a refurbishment, and now features two chapels of rest.

A dedication service will be held to mark the opening of the two new parlours before Christmas.
