Robbery in Lancing

A LANCING man was robbed of cash when he was assaulted in an attack on Friday morning (February 24).

The 30-year-old victim was walking along East Street at around 9.45am when he was approached from behind at the junction with Cecil Road by a man who assaulted and robbed him.

The suspect is described as white, aged 18-30, around 6ft 2in and of athletic build.

He had short dark blonde hair and spoke with an eastern European accent.

He was wearing a dark grey hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers/shoes.

Detective Constable Angela De Vivo said: “We urge anyone who has any information or witnessed what happened to please get in touch. Although the victim was not hurt, he has been left shaken by what happened.”
