THE Duchess of Cambridge has given birth to a baby boy.

The future king was born at the Lindo Wing at St Mary’s Hospital – where Prince William was also born – at 4.24pm today (July 22).

The much anticipated royal arrival weighed 8lbs 6oz. He is third in line to the throne and is the Queen’s third great-grandchild.

Prime Minister David Cameron described the news as ‘an important moment in the life of our nation’.
