SANTA is once again teaming up with the Worthing Lions in the run up to Christmas.
From today until December 23, the Lions and Father Christmas will travel around the streets of Worthing in an illuminated van to collect money for good causes and spread some Christmas cheer.
Marian Down, press officer for Worthing Lions, said: “This event by the Lions has been taking place now for many years with a great deal of money raised for local causes. It is only through the generosity of the people of Worthing that they are able to help others.
“One thing that is especially pleasing is when mums and dads bring out the children to see Father Christmas and tell them that they used to see the Lions when they were children, so much of a tradition has it become.”
On the three Saturday’s leading up to Christmas, Santa’s grotto will be outside the Guildbourne Centre where the man himself will be giving sweets to children.
