Shop worker is stabbed in neck

A WORTHING shop assistant was stabbed in the neck last week.

Police were called to the Co-op at Salvington Road, Worthing, just after 4pm on June 29, where there had been reports of ant-social behaviour and an assault.

A 19-year old man working at the shop had sustained a minor neck cut, which is believed to have caused by a pencil, and which did not require hospital treatment.

A 27-year old man was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm and possession of heroin. He was released on police bail until July 21.
