POLICE have charged a 45-year-old Shoreham man with serious sex offences against children.
Unemployed Andrew Fluke, of Rosslyn Avenue, is remanded in custody and will appear for an initial hearing at Lewes Crown Court on June 5.
A Sussex police spokesman said he was charged with a serious sex offence against a young girl between 2009 and 2010, and with attempting to incite a young girl to engage in indecency via on-line video contact.
The prosecution, authorised by the Crown Prosecution Service, followed an investigation by detectives from the Brighton Safeguarding Investigations Unit.
Detective Constable Stewart Cameron said: “Anyone who has concerns on learning of this or similar investigations can contact us via email@example.com or call 101, quoting serial 1207 of 15/4, and arrange to speak in confidence to experienced detectives.
