THERE is still time to take part in a West Sussex County Council survey asking residents for their views on managing finances and where they think resource should be focused.
Every Pound Counts asks residents and businesses how they would allocate public money.
It includes a section where people have the chance to be “chancellor for the day” by allocating points – representing sums of money – to different areas.
Leader Louise Goldsmith said: “I would urge people to take part in this consultation and let us have their views on where they think our resources should be targeted.
“In these difficult financial times, the council has limited funds and this is a chance for people to let us know not only where they think these should be focussed, but also where they think savings should be made.”
The survey closes on Sunday, September 9.
Details of the survey can be found at libraries and Help Points or by visiting the County Council website at www.westsussex.gov.uk/everypoundcounts where people can either fill in the survey online or download a copy.
People can also request a paper copy of the survey by calling the County Council on 01243 777100.
