HM REVENUE & Customs (HMRC) are reminding Sussex’s 124,100 tax credit claimants that they have until 31 July to renew their claims.
If claims are not renewed in time, payments could stop.
Alison McDonald, Director, Benefits and Credits, said: “Claimants in Sussex only have a few days left to renew their tax credits. If they don’t do it in time, payments will stop, and people could lose all the money received since April.
“They also need to check their details in their renewal packs carefully, as any errors now could mean they receive less money.”
