Pensioner dies in road collision at Portland Road in Worthing

A witness appeal is being made by Police, after an pensioner died in a collision with a vehicle in Portland Road on Monday, January 28).

She has been named as Sonia Taplin, 70, of King Edward Avenue, who was commonly known as Sonia Fishpool.

According to Police, the 25 year-old female driver of the Volvo vehicle involved was suffering from shock, but did not require further medical assistance.

The incident happened at around 6.55am and Police are still investigating. Any witnesses to call 101 quoting Operation Ockham.
