TRAVEL ALERT: A259 lane closures for Shoreham footbridge work

WEST Sussex County Council has announced there will be off-peak lane closures in force on the A259 Brighton Road, in Shoreham, from today (Wednesday, August 22).

The closures are related to the new Shoreham footbridge project.

A county spokesman said today: “Stop/Go boards are required for the delivery of plant and materials to site and when construction works are adjacent to the highway.

“The road will remain fully open to traffic at all other times.

“The off-peak lane closures will be on and off for several months.”
