A BIKER remains in a stable but serious condition following a crash near Pulborough.
The 59-year-old man from Croydon was seriously injured when his grey Yamaha motorbike collided with a blue Kia Rio car driven by a 23-year-old man from Pulborough yesterday (Saturday, April 30).
Sussex Police said the accident happened just before 4pm on the B2138 Lower Street, in Fittleworth.
It is believed the motorbike, which was travelling north, overtook an HGV lorry and collided with the car travelling in the opposite direction.
The biker was taken by air ambulance to Kings College Hospital, London, suffering from serious chest and pelvic injuries.
The car driver, who was alone in the car, was treated at the scene for shock.
