A LITTLEHAMPTON woman reversed her car through a shop window on Worthing seafront on Friday (June 15) whilst trying to park.

The 57-year-old woman was trying to park outside Marks & Spencer in Marine Parade, Worthing, when she reversed through the shop window, according to police.

The woman driving was not injured, but a 70-year-old Goring woman received minor head injuries. She was checked by paramedics but did not need to go to hospital.

Sargeant Goodwin, from Arundel road policing, said: “ We think this vehicle was trying to park, and for some reason she lost control and reversed through the window.

“We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Sussex Police on 101.”

The shop stayed opened for business, with the area involved cordoned off by police.
