AS part of Northbrook College’s “masterplan” for its Littlehampton Road campus, permission is being sought for a major revision of parking arrangements.
Worthing Borough Council planners will consider an application to provide a replacement 285-space car park, with a new access arrangement off Littlehampton Road into the campus.
A design statement says the proposal would mean a safer pedestrian route for staff and pupils from the car park to the main college entrance. By relocating the car park from the east side to the north-west corner of the campus, the plan would allow future redevelopment in line with college’s masterplan strategy for the site. If approved, there would be a total of 360 parking spaces on the Durrington campus, plus 128 cycle storage places.
The Titnore Lane access would be for emergency access only.
