Pensioner seriously injured after Worthing collision

POLICE are appealing to anyone who saw a collision between a bicycle and a car at 10.55pm on Friday (August 24) on the High Street, near Waitrose, in Worthing.

The rider of the bicylce, a 71-year-old man from Worthing, was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton with serious injuries where he is in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old Sompting woman driving a blue Volkswagen Polo car was uninjured.
