Two elderly women in hospital after head-on collision in Brighton Road

TWO elderly Lancing women were taken to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries today (June 13) after a head-on collision on the seafront.

The collision, between a blue Ford Fiesta and a Travis Perkins van, happened at about 11.30am in Brighton Road, near Thalassa Road.

The two women travelling in the Fiesta, believed to be in their 70s, were taken to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries.

The man travelling in the van is thought to be unharmed, and traffic was still slow going both ways along Brighton Road at midday.
