A major West Sussex road has been closed this morning (Tuesday March 10) following an accident involving two commercial vans and a car.
The A24 near Horsham, has been closed northbound.
There has been congestion on the stretch between the A272 Buck Barn junction and Mill Straight at Southwater.
The collision happened at around 7.25am north of the Southwater roundabout. The road has been closed while the air ambulance landed and emergency services are on scene.
Many roads in the area were gridlocked and police have been are advising motorists to avoid the area if possible.
Buck Barn crossroads will be closed until this evening and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have asked motorists to find an alternative route.
Three people were taken to hospital following the collision.
