TWO cars caught fire in the space of four days in Lancing over the bank-holiday weekend.
Both blazes were believed to have started accidentally.
Firefighters were first called to North Farm Road, Lancing, at 10.30am on Friday, where one car was well alight.
One crew from Worthing attended the incident and the blaze was extinguished using two sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reels and one hydrant.
The crew spent around 15 minutes at the scene, leaving at 10.43.
The second car fire was in North Road, Lancing, at 2.45pm on Monday.
The fire was in the engine compartment of the car, and was tackled by a crew from Shoreham using a single hose reel in less than five minutes.
Firefighters were also called to a fire in a flat in Avon Close, Sompting, at 10.25am on Monday.
A small fire had broken out in the kitchen but was out when the crew from Worthing arrived at the scene.
Firefighters spent 15 minutes at the incident, where they carried out an inspection and ventilated the property.
