A collision between two cars this morning has led police to block off two roads.

Police were called at 8.50am after a black Hyundai and purple Fork KA collided at the junction where Selden Road meets Church Walk in Worthing.

A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Both roads are blocked.

“One driver has got injuries and the other is reporting chest pain.

“They are being treated at the scene.”

The driver of the Ford said he felt ‘ok’ but had some back pain.

He said: “I drove down Church Walk and someone drove across the road, hit me on the side and I spun. It happened really fast. The air bags went off.”

He added that he hoped the other driver was ok.

A resident of Selden Road witnessed the crash.

He said: “It’s the third accident in about four weeks down here. I have seen stupid things. I think people use it as a rat run. You get people in a rush just hacking down here. I’m all for the 20mph limit in urban areas.”

Police are still in attendance.
