POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision between a car and a pedestrian at the junction between North Road and Sompting Road in Lancing yesterday (Wednesday, September 19).
It happened at 3.52pm and involved a blue Daewoo Matiz driven by a 23-year-old woman from Durrington.
The pedestrian, a 91-year-old man from Lancing, was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries.
Anyone who saw what happened is asked to call police on 101 quoting Operation Kingston.
