Video footage shows the emotional occasion when Worthing came to a standstill for Remembrance Sunday this morning (November 8).
Locals of all ages attended the ceremony at Worthing War Memorial where they paid their respects to soldiers who died during wartime.
The moving service took place outside Worthing Town Hall in Chapel Road, and two minutes’ silence was observed from the first stroke of the town hall clock at 11am.
Worthing Borough Mayor Michael Donin was among those who placed wreaths for the fallen, and the salute was taken at the march past in front of the town hall after the service.
Our photographer Eddie Mitchell captured the occasion with the footage above.
