HUNDREDS of people took to the streets today (June 4) with parties being held all over Worthing to celebrate the Queen’s diamond Jubilee.

The herald were out visiting parties in Slindon Road, Warwick Street, Coast Cafe, Shermanbury Road, Brittany Road, Henty Road and the Tudor Close pub in Ferring.

Eileen Horner, organiser of the street party in Brittany Road, has been planning the event since February.

She said: “It took about four months to plan it all. We have been here four years and we never knew the people at the top half of the street.

“Since doing this the community has just drawn together.”
