VIDEO: Missing Elaine - Police dig up garden at Ferring home
POLICE today (April 10) began digging up the front garden at the family home of missing Ferring woman Elaine Taggart and the man suspected of her murder, her husband Andy.
While detectives continued questioning Mr Taggart in a Chichester police station after being granted a 12-hour extension this morning, around half a dozen officers began the arduous task of digging up the neatly-profiled turf in the Ferringham Lane front garden.

The bright sunshine has done nothing to lift the gloom which has settled on the neat suburban area since news broke of Mr Taggart's arrest yesterday morning (Wednesday, April 9).
Neighbours spoke of their concerns for the couple's two children, 11-year-old Sophie and Daniel, 14, saying: "We don't like it at all. We're worried about the kids and surprised. We don't like any of it."
Another said they had seen Mr Taggart working on the front garden for "some months".
Forensic investigators continued to examine the inside of the 500,000 home while officers worked outside, with at least one box of unknown material being removed from the house and driven away.
