VOLUNTEERS from Worthing National Citizen Service have won a regional award in the category of ‘Most Outstanding Team’.
The team has recently worked to restore the Ferring Country Centre, which provides meaningful training and work experience for people with learning difficulties.
The vInspired National Awards celebrate the achievements and dedication of young volunteers and the youth workers who support them.
Suzi Laver, team youth worker, said: “It’s such an honour for the team to be presented with this award. They didn’t volunteer for the recognition, knowing that they have helped people is enough motivation for them and it’s great to know that they have been officially recognised for their work. These awards not only celebrate the benefits of volunteering but also inspire young people to volunteer and make a difference in their communities.”
The national winners will be announced next week.
