VOTE: Grunters at Wimbledon – Video

THE noises made by some top tennis stars when they hit the ball have angered spectators and left many wondering if the sounds are real.

One of the central figures in the controversy is Portuguese star Michelle Larcher de Brito, who was booed off court at the French Open due to her extremely loud grunts and screams.

Making noises to distract the opposition is against the rules at Wimbledon.

In our readers' vote the Herald/Gazette askes:

Do you think excessive grunting is poor gamesmanship?
