At Jacobs Steel Lettings we care about finding the right tenants for our landlords and finding the perfect home for our tenants.
Not only do we offer competitive fees to new tenants, we also offer reduced fees to our existing tenants should they decide to move to one of our available properties.
This way we get to build a rapport with our tenants, which in-turn benefits our landlords.
In addition to this we are also supporting the “Lets with pets scheme” which was launched by the Dogs Trust to encourage more landlords to consider letting their property to pet owners.
In a recent survey by the Dogs Trust 78 per cent of pet owners reported that they had experienced difficulties finding rented accommodation that would allow their pets, 54 per cent of pet owners were never able to find a suitable property that accepted pets and 8 per cent of people had to rehome their pet.
What are the benefits to the landlord?
• A wider market – increase the number of potential tenants for each property
• Reduce void periods – pets considered properties are always in demand and some evidence suggests pet owning tenants stay longer
• Minimise risk – pet owners are often willing to pay higher deposits
• Spick & span properties – many pet owners will often pay a non-refundable pet payment to cover the cost of a professional clean at the end of their tenancy.
With almost half the UK population owning a pet, taking a pets considered approach to lettings makes good sense to both tenants and landlords as it maximises the return on all rental properties.
