A WOMAN was taken to hospital with injuries following a serious road accident at the junction of Chesswood Road and Ladydell Road in Worthing.

Three fire crews, Police and an ambulance attended the scene of incident, which happened around 1230pm today (Thursday, December 20). The female motorist, who was driving a BMW Mini was taken to Worthing Hospital.

Scene commander, PC Glen McArthur said: “There were two vehicles involved in the incident, with the female driver being helped from the car by fire crews. We do not know the extent of her injuries yet but she will be taken to hospital. The driver of the other vehicle was shaken, but was not seriously injured.”
