Women attacked in Findon Valley

FOUR men have been arrested following an attack on two women in Downside Avenue, Findon Valley, on Thursday.

The women were outside on their front drive when they were assaulted between 6.50pm and 7.10pm.

One of the women received arm, shoulder, and head injuries, and required treatment at Worthing Hospital.

A 57-year-old man from the Arundel area, was arrested on suspicion of affray, assault and actual bodily harm along with a man aged 24 from Arundel, who was arrested on suspicion of affray. Both were questioned and bailed until Tuesday, 24 September.

A 26-year-old man from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon and a 51-year-old man from Worthing, was arrested on suspicion of affray. Both were questioned and bailed until Wednesday, 25 September.

PC David Slade said: “I do believe that there are independent witnesses who saw some or all of the incident. I am appealing for these witnesses to come forward and speak to me in confidence.”
