BANK staff played a football tournament to raise money and awareness of prostate cancer.

The games were organised by staff from HSBC in Worthing and were played at Worthing Leisure Centre, in aid of The Prostate Cancer charity.

The tournament included teams from local HSBC branches, as well as two teams for the invoice finance sector based in Griffin House, Farncombe Road, Worthing.

In total, they raised £113, which HSBC will double to take the final tally to £226.00

The final two teams were Team Cobra, an invoice finance team, and The Hurricanes, made up of staff from the Warwick Street branch.

The tournament was won 2-0 by Team Hurricane, the members of which were David Leader, Mike Rowan, Rob Milsom, Ashley Picton, Mathew Bell and Tom Roberts, and the referee was David Stevens.

Victoria Norman, one of the organisers, said: “It was a great day, everyone enjoyed themselves despite the rain.

“It was very competitive between the teams too, especially between the local branches.”
