DANCERS from Worthing are celebrating a medal-winning performance at a regional competition.
More than 20 girls and one boy – aged between six and 20 – from Premier Dance Academy took part in the southern region heat of the Dancer of Dancer Championship competition.
They returned with a haul of 135 medals, including more than 20 first-place finishes.
Even more impressively, the school achieved a clean sweep of first, second and third places in the under-12s pairs and trios sections of the competition, which took place at Hayling Island.
The school, which has bases at St Stephen’s Church hall, in Angola Road, the Sidney Walter Centre, in Sussex Road, and Hove, achieved the result at the end of last month.
Principal Carla Porter said: “I’m absolutely overwhelmed. We’ve spent a lot of hours and a lot of hard work and it all really paid off.
“I’m extremely proud of them – they got the results they deserved.”
