Sophie Taylor, 31, of Ophir Road, Worthing, and Nicola Naish, 44, of Valencia Road, Worthing, had drinks on the House’s terrace and rubbed shoulders with Baroness Delyth Morgan, the chief executive of Breast Cancer Campaign.

Sophie said: “It was a real honour and nice to thanked. Baroness Morgan took the time to come round and thank us.”

Last year, Sophie raised £3,500 trekking the Grand Canyon.

“It was a real life-changer, I was so scared of so many things. Just to know I did it is such an amazing thing.”

Nicola was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010, becoming the seventh member of her family to have the disease.

She has since given up her job as a teacher to become a campaigner and fundraiser for Breast Cancer Campaign.

She said: “All I want of life is for them to find a cure. When you go to something like this you totally believe it.”
