THESE are the horrific injuries a grandmother suffered after she said an attacker beat her black and blue in her own home.
Elaine Massey said she was attacked in her home in Newland Road, Worthing, at about 4pm last Sunday (May 27), and was left with injuries which hospital staff “had never seen the likes of before”.
The 71-year-old suffered serious bruising to her left shoulder, a broken collar bone, and was left stiff after an attacker beat her so badly her family feared she could die. A police spokesman confirmed they were investigating the attack, and said a local man was arrested the following day, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and theft.
