Worthing man charged with running a brothel in town

John Reynolds, 69, of Kingsland Road, Broadwater, has been charged with managing a brothel where a number of women were allegedly working as prostitutes.

He will appear before Worthing Magistrates Court on December 3.

A team of local police officers, led by Sergeant Andrew Hother of the Neighbourhood Policing Team, raided Reynold’s three bedroom house on June 20 and he was arrested that day.

They had been contacted after adverts were placed in the Friday Ad adult section.

DC Lindsey Van Buiten, of Worthing CID, said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who has knowledge of a number of women attending an address in Kingsland Road in the first half of this year. They should contact police on 101, email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
