A WORTHING man is helping co-ordinate a clean-up effort in London, following riots last night (Monday, August 8).

Dan Thompson, who is known for the Empty Shops Network scheme in Worthing, began to encourage volunteers to help clear the streets of London using social media website, Twitter.

Dan, 37, created the hashtag #riotcleanup on Twitter, and has been co-ordinating the clean-up effort from Worthing using the social media site, and by email.

This morning there have already been clean-ups in Hackney and Camden.
