An annual service has been held to honour the pigeons who contributed to the war effort.
It was held at the pigeon memorial in Beach House Park, Brighton Road, Worthing, on Sunday (November 18).
This is the fourth annual remembrance service for the birds which served as homing pigeons during World Wars I and II.
Its organiser, 74-year-old Cynthia O’Neill, believes the memorial it is held at is possibly the only one in the country, if not the world.
