Glendale students won ten gold medals at the contest, as well as four silver and seven bronze, and claimed first, second, and third place in the junior modern quartet.

More than 18,000 youngsters aged between four and 25, from 24 countries around the world fought for a place at this year’s final which was held in England for the first time.

“It is an honour and a fantastic experience for our pupils to be competing at world-class level.”

“The results of the first day saw Team England winning many medals, but I am so proud that Glendale Theatre Arts School did a clean sweep of one class with bronze, silver and gold.”
