The emergency services were called after a man was taken ill in Worthing this morning (Saturday March 5).

The man is believed to have been riding a bike in Tarring Road when he suffered what Sussex Police have described as a ‘medical episode’ shortly after 10.30am.

The Kent Air Ambulance was called to the scene.

The road was closed while the paramedics treated the man before he was taken to hospital.

Police officers are still on the scene this lunchtime.
