A TEENAGER from Worthing has been charged with making a hoax bomb threat to the town’s railway station, transport police have announced today (February 12).

The hoax call was made in December.

Three men were identified after the release of CCTV images from the railway station as part of a public appeal for information.

They were all subsequently interviewed under caution.

As a result, 19-year-old Liam Rich, of South Farm Road, was charged with falsely making a hoax bomb threat, and has been bailed to appear at Worthing Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, February 26.

Detective Constable Vanessa Cottington said: “I would like to thank local media for publicising this appeal. I would also like to thank the members of the public who came forward with information.”
