A woman has been banned from the roads after she was seen driving the wrong way down a one-way street in Worthing.
Gemma Chow was spotted going the wrong way into Bath Place, off Marine Parade, parking her car and staggering from it in the early hours of Saturday morning (28 June).
The 19-year-old was arrested after officers were flagged down and warned that they believed Chow was drink-driving.
Chow, of Garrick Road, Worthing, was charged with drink-driving and was remanded in custody to appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court yesterday (Monday 30 June).
She pleaded guilty and was banned from the roads for three years. She was also fined £250 and ordered to pay £25 costs and £85 costs.
Chow is one of 91 people who have been charged this month as part of Operation Dragonfly, Sussex Police’s crackdown on drink and drug-driving.
