Young Worthing mother to pay £185

A MOTHER who resisted a police officer after arguing with her sister has been fined.

Terrie McGuiness, 23, of Brookdean Road, pleaded guilty to the charge at Worthing Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

The court heard that she had been uncooperative when police arrived at her sister’s address following an altercation on September 16.

McGuiness, who is pregnant with her second child and has recently moved to Worthing from Liverpool, was abusive to both officers and her boyfriend and at one point tried to bite PC Mitchell-Harris.

She was given a conditional discharge in 2008 for a similar offence. The bench fined McGuiness £75 and ordered her to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.
