It was of no surprise to me, when reading the Herald, to see the adverse comments of the majority of readers regarding the proposed 21-storey building on the site of the old Aquarena.
Apart from this building standing out on its own, looking so out of place, has there been any consideration into the parking arrangements required for such a vast building ?
Possibly, there will be more than one car to most apartments, and then there are visitors, especially at weekends, when family and friends go calling in.
I cannot imagine there will not be nearly enough parking spaces available, so this problem will cause more disruption to neighbouring roads, already suffering their own parking nightmare.
At present, there is a continuous stream of traffic in Brighton Road. This will just add more to an ever-increasing volume of traffic in and out of Worthing town centre.
Last but not least, Roffey Homes state these will be affordable homes, so I assume that means £500,000 upwards ?
